Rivolver is currently a third of this newly founded group from Michigan, “Hooligang”. Most of the music you hear were projects he started writing while incarcerated in the MDOC for over 7 years, and now finally has the opportunity to be produced. He is 29 and from Seattle Washington originally which you can hear quite often represented in his music through sound and name drops alike. In regards to his lyrics, much of it is related to his life prior to his release in 2022, but his newest mixtape speaks on a much more relatable topic of love and a lack of. There are few artists we hear today with the sounds that him and his group have created, constantly bringing a darker RnB tone behind the gritty and personal lyrics he lays on top of them. Let’s just hope he doesn’t end up back in jail before more releases accompany this one!
