Paul Guizar was born in Oak Lawn but lived most of his life in Chicago. Paul started his career jotting down song ideas and general writing as a kid. Then, as he got older, the artist met his best friend Sixto when he was about 18; he had some musical equipment with him. Guys started playing around with some beats and made a few songs together. That launched things from there, and got more involved in music.
His music is unique because it comes from the soul, and there’s only one him in the world, so it can only be viewed and expressed through the artist’s eyes and experiences, but he wants to create music that can reach or speak to almost everyone. Paul’s music is about a lot of things: fun, courage, love, pain, excitement, and just a lot of different human concepts and ideas. Hopefully, some that are new to you or get you thinking and make it enjoyable to listen to. His genres fall under hip-hop/rap, but he doesn’t follow labels like that when it comes to music cause you should be able to freely express music without being tied down to a single musical area.
